Savannah ~~ St. Patrick's Day

Day 53 - 58 Enjoyed our second State Park visit and day trips into Savannah

We had a long drive (longest of the trip so far) from Venice northeast to Savannah Georgia via East Coast.  Snickers enjoyed the trip and we where happy he was back with us, we missed him!  The state park was nice but didn't have many of the features I like in RV parks (internet, cable and cell phone service).  We also experienced our first time camping with bugs!  The Noseeums bugs were bad in the forest and the state park was pretty bad.

Our days and a few evenings where spent in the city of Savannah.  We took a tour the first evening and many of the pictures below were from that tour.  We boarded three different tour buses the next day and each driver had new information about the history of historicial district.  Sixty Eight movies have been filmed in Savannah and Dan and I didn't know any of them, but have put a few on our must see list now.  We walked the street and enjoyed the beautiful weather during the St. Patricks Day parade (second largest to NY).  We could've spend a few more days here.
