We arrived mid afternoon just in time to drive around town and get an idea of what to see tomorrow. The weather was ugly but sunshine would be in our future!
The storm we were trying to stay behind |
Another bridge to no where . . . hehehe |
Amanda, cute Black&Hot Pink house .... near Taco Bell !! |
Candice, can your 'ACE' do this? |
The view from our campsite; yep that is the ocean !!! |
We woke early to a beautiful sunrise the second day and enjoyed a walk with Snicks on the beach. He wanted to smell everything and jump into the water! He chased the shadows of the pelicans and seagulls. He sat still only long enough to snap a picture. Enjoy the cute puppy pictures.

He almost took Dan with him this time....LOL |
The Wright Brothers Memorial was amazing. There was so much information to read and tons of pictures and exhibits inside and out. We arrived for the Ranger talk and also watched the movie. We "hiked" up to the Memorial on the top of Big Kill Devil Hill !!!!! It was a long way up. We were also lucky to talk with 3 Army Serviceman that happened to land their helicopter at the First Flight airport. They were on a training exercise and could go up to 200 miles from their base in DC. Enjoy the pictures of this too.
Did you know...the first flight was from Kitty Hawk @ Kill Devil Hill and now Kill Devil Hill is it's own city. |
