Here they are; well a few little ones |

This is the entrance to one of three gates Dozer can use to get to work |
This is the gate we went in for our Family Day |
The family day was really nice. We could not take any pictures on the base, but they did give us these two large prints and had pilots there to answer questions and sign the prints. I got a couple extra if anyone would like one.
Test Fighter Pilots: BC and Tinman signed my prints |
Dozer is supporting both the "B" and "C" F-35's. He has worked on both of the fighter jets in the pictures
This is the F-35 doing a Vertical Landing |

These are the countries that Lockheed Martin is building the Fighter for |
We were so proud & happy to be able to share in
Family Day with Dozer and Marge !!
This is the ONLY park we found to stay near Dozer. The park is the southernmost tip of Maryland's western shore on a peninsula formed by the Chesapeake Bay and the Potomac River. Of course we have not been there when it has been warm enough to enjoy the beautiful water, maybe on the next trip :~) |
There are these two memorials behind the park and Dozer's apartment |
They are lite up at night and creepy, especially so close to October 30 & 31 |
Going to see Uncle Kevin today! |
We were able to attend Fr. Kevin's 11:00 English mass where he anointed the sick. He treated us to a nice brunch and then we headed out to enjoy the beautiful fall day.
Picture from his church bulletin |
This is where Snickers spent the beautiful day |
He was in-charge of guarding the church and really didn't mind the bells chiming before all six masses on Sunday |
Kevin had this courtyard all fixed up for his puppy (which he will get sometime in the near future). We were so happy to have a safe place to leave Snickers while we visited. He enjoyed chasing shadows from birds and bugs!
We went for a nice long Walsh walk at The Great Falls Park. Enjoy the follow pictures from this beautiful park: |
My favorite !! |
The colors The rushing water ~ beautiful |
A tree with all different colors ~ so cool !! |
Deep in thought ~ he is laughing while I am taking this, so is Kevin! |
Different water levels The Great Falls experienced over the years.
We headed into DC Monday morning. Father Matthew dropped us off at the Metro Station and we headed to the National Museum of American History. Enjoy the pictures from this great afternoon.
The First Ladies' Dresses were due to arrive on Nov. 19th, but we were SO lucky to get a sneak preview!! Both Dan and Kevin were so thrilled (not) |
Jackie O's gown |
So many cool things happened in 1939 ~ right Dad ?!?!?!? |
Another favorite of mine! |
The quote is really cool from Jim Henson: "I just wanted to work in television ... and puppets were ... a way to get into TV. |
Adam and Kevin, this picture is for you! This was a huge box of marbles, so cool ! |
Kevin is checking our train ~ there's an app for that !! |
These next three shots of the new living room in the rectory. Kevin had the wood floor, wet bar and cozy fireplace updated for a warm homey place for the priests and their guests to relax. The furniture will arrive later this month and we will have to get a updated picture from Kevin!
Love that red truck, right girls? | | |
We had dinner Monday night back at Dozer's apartment. Marge and I made lasagna Saturday.
He arrived a few minutes after us and was surprised we made such great time traveling from DC to Lexington Park during rush hour. |
That's Dozer ~ walkin up to his door; what another colorful fall tree |
I want one of the posters of the jet!! :D Really beautiful park with the rushing water and great pictures of Dad and Uncle Kevin doing what Walshs do best!
ReplyDeleteWhy was Dumbo there? Cool picture waiting for the train! Surprised you could get a picture of Doz in the Vette, looks like he was going fast. My truck looks like it is still on all four wheels, hopefully it can make it a few more years!
