Maine is Vacationland ~sorry for delay, blog troubles ~ enjoy the beautiful colors, beaches, lobsters and of course the puppy :)

It's hard to see but the colors are beautiful.

Sun trying to break through after much rain.

Rain clouds threatening.

Snickers catching up on his rest during the long drive.
Entering Maine (make sure you check out map @ end of this post)

Had to hit the info center.
Two moose Kissing, they are huge.
Two baby Moose, looking scared.
It was a Smores night.
It was a some more sleep time for Snicks....hehehe
He needed his blankie for our first night around 40 degrees

AFTER !!

Yum, first whole fresh lobster

These guys look like they would be good in a 'to go' box !!

We were looking for a "lobster pound" where they sell lobsters on the side of the road, but this worked for lunch.

Prices at the lobster pounds on the side of the rode. Not bad.

healthy too

Lobster pound with a drive-thru.

Everything seemed to be "wicked good" ?

We had to go to Portland to get Real fresh lobster.

Portland is known as a fishing town.

Had to get some "take out" here.

I can almost smell the lobster...

A small marina in Portland.

This is the backside of the Lobster Co. during low tide.

Some of the larger lobster boats carry 2,000 of these lobster pots.

This market is where they pull the fish right off the boat.

This is the biggest "Monk" fish I've ever seen.(actually the only one)

Everything looked so good we got some Tuna and Salmon.
A real fish house on a working wharf.

A brick paved road in Portland's shopping district.
He's no Johny Depp.
We finally filled in that top right spot, now working our way down the coast.
