Our first "dry camping" experience was interesting . . .
Interesting HUGE Joshua Tree National Park with no cell service, no satellite, no antenna TV, and of course no internet! We met someone who was "from" Clarkston and now is a Park Ranger!
Enjoy pictures:
| Big rabbit. |
| This was the only wild life we saw.... |
| The mountains almost touch the clouds |
| More desert |
| Weird rocks |
| More granite-like |
| Cholla Cactus Garden |
| Blackbird |
| White cactus with yellow flowers |
| These rocks almost looked fake |
| Rocks |
| and more Rocks... |
| Big rocks |
| I know these probably just look like rocks to you, but they were sooo cool |
| Arch Rock |
| This sucker is heav v v v y... |
| We finally see our first Joshua Tree |
| It kinda looks like a Pine Tree with Cactus for branches |
| Would you believe 70* F during the day and snow at night... |
| What a difference an hour of mountain sunshine makes on several inches of snow |
| Already melting on the ground but snow still on the mountain tops |
| Warm on the ground and snow in the mountains |
| I knew it was windy, but I'm glad he caught that gust instead of me |
| When we came over the top of the hill we saw this huge expanse with a town 20+ miles away |
| I never thought I'd see Palm trees and snow in the same picture |
| Now that hill is in the clouds |
