Days 32- 34 ~ Wide Open Spaces Tour 2012 ~ Las Vegas, AZ

The Dam and Vegas Baby !!!

We drove in from Williams to Nevada on another beautiful sunny day.  We enjoyed the pool and site of our campground and woke up early to visit the Dam and try to get tickets for a  show on the strip.

More wide open spaces

These mountains have some strange formations at the top.

I didn't know I had a Ranch Rd.

These are just more some strange rock formations

Sometimes the photo just doesn't do justice to the scenery

This is the new bypass bridge finished a year ago(so new it wasn't recognized on our GPS)

Lake Mead in the distance, which was created by the Hoover dam.

Still didn't see any Big Horned Sheep

This was a very nice campground except we were located next to the billboard which the Pigeons used as a hangout

Lake Mead

Interesting stuff huh

Dam from the Nevada side

Pam was really enamored with this bridge

Dam from Arizona side with intake towers

Looking down the dam wall from the top

I think it took 4 years to build

The memorial to all the workers that lost their life building the Dam

The new Visitor Center

This is how the workers accomplished much of the work on the Dam

We were not sure which side this plaque was on

Dammed water

Vegas BABY !!!

My Dad once told me, "the best way to double your money in Vegas is to FOLD it and put it back in your pocket

Some of the sights we saw on the Strip

They were shooting a Volleyball commercial at one of the hotels

and Pam wouldn't let me leave till they got it right.

This was not our RV campground.

A pretty store I was pretty sure we didn't want to buy anything in, almost spelled Nannette correct

Wolfgang PUCK restaurant in Crystal's mall

Some interesting displays

Worlds biggest blowdryer

You would have to be pretty tall to wear these pearls, so we didn't get them.

The flag on this building was actually swaying in the breeze

Apparently this is what the Devil wears

This was on a bridge over the strip so the traffic doesn't have to stop for pedestrians

The front half of the bike looked good.

This Architect must have been drunk when this design was dreamed up

This Vette rented for $229/day, so we decided we would walk

Pam wanted to get a few pics with these around her neck but the lines were too long

M&M World was about the only thing we could afford after doubling our money in the Casinos

Street performers

MGM

Emeril's

CSI: The Experience

New York, New York

View from Bridge

Circus, Circus

Monte Carlo

Trams running between Casinos

That's water running down the walls

McDonald's sign at night

We had go back at night to see the strip lit up

I think the people were more lit up then the Strip

We went here for dinner

This guy was always giving directions

This way to the Beach

We tried to get tickets, but they wanted an arm and leg

and I had just lost my ass in the casinos,

so we passed, cause I couldn't drive like that.
This guy must have gave good directions cause they Bronzed him

These girls must have lost their shirts in the casinos

This was some registration desk

Pam liked these lights

That's all folks
