Days 24-29 ~ Wide Open Spaces Tour 2012 ~ Coolidge & Mesa, AZ

Coolidge, Mesa, Phoenix, Scottsdale Arizona ~ TWO Milestone Birthdays!!!  Kevin (Dan's brother) 50th Birthday and Dozer's 25th Birthday

We had a nice time in all these Arizona cities.  We finally got out into the sun by a pool! I am 73% done with Water for Elephants book; I want to see the movie that is free on HBO but need to finish reading it first.  We only had one stop in Coolidge at National Park and the rest of the five days were enjoying old friends and making some new ones.

Enjoy!

Just another mountain in the middle of nowhere

The Ruins of Casa Grande (supposedly 2000 years old)

Strange shaped cactus plant  <3

This is whats left of a three story structure

Standing in an opening to the structure - four foot thick walls

The walls are deteriorating

You would think they would have done a better on the walls, seeing the roof they put up 2,000 years ago..?

Whats left of the walls surrounding the complex

Whats left of some of the interior walls

More interior wall remnants

What a guard dog!!!

No corn yet?

The retracted roof of Chase Stadium from the street.
